Build confidence, stage presence, and connection through improv fundamentals—overcoming stage fright, ensemble work, basic games, and scene creation.

Strengthen your scenes with initiations, character and relationship work, heightening, edits, callbacks, and intuitive play.

A mixed-level class focused on long-form improv, show prep, and advanced techniques, including select Susan Messing exercises. Taught primarily by CCT’s Tony Galardi.
(Levels 1–3 required)

Students may make up missed classes and attend CCT shows for free. Payment plans and box office internships (to offset tuition) are available.

Kimberly leads Level 1 with a focus on building confidence, connection, and a strong foundation in improv. Her classes are supportive, welcoming, and designed to help new students feel comfortable stepping on stage for the first time.
Whether you're overcoming stage fright or just looking to try something new, Kimberly creates an environment where you can learn, take risks, and have fun doing it.
Drea teaches Level 2 with an emphasis on strengthening scene work, character development, and intuitive play. Her classes help students build on their foundation, take bigger creative risks, and develop more dynamic, engaging scenes.
With a focus on collaboration and responsiveness, Drea helps students grow their skills while staying present and connected on stage.
Keli, founder of Charlotte Comedy Theater, brings decades of experience and Chicago-rooted training into the classroom. Her teaching blends structure with play, helping students develop strong instincts, confidence, and a deeper understanding of improv.
Keli’s approach is both challenging and supportive—guiding students to grow their skills while staying grounded in the core principles of improv.
