Level 1 Improv – Kimberly Cope McCrary
Learn improv comedy at the Charlotte comedy theater that brought improv to Charlotte — with training rooted in Chicago’s top stages. Whether you’re rediscovering your sense of play or leveling up your performance skills, our multi-level program at the Charlotte comedy theater & training center meets you where you are and grows with you.
Level 1 – Foundations
Build confidence and connection through improv fundamentals: stage presence, overcoming stage fright, ensemble trust, group mind, basic games, and co-creating scenes.
6 weeks | $280
Level 2 – Scene Work & Games
Develop stronger scenes with initiations, heightening, character and relationship work, edits, callbacks, and intuitive play. (Level 1 required; occasionally combined with Level 1.)

$30 discount for returning students
Advanced Improv
A mixed-level class focused on long-form improv, show prep, and advanced techniques — including select Susan Messing exercises. Taught primarily by CCT’s Tony Galardi.
6 weeks | $250
(CCT performers pay the standard coaching fee via Venmo night-of.)
Levels 1–3 required
